Rebuilding You

You are unique. Special. One of a kind.

We are here to talk about you.

Remember your first date? You probably had lots to talk about – wanting to get to know someone special. That’s how we’ll treat our first meeting with you because we consider it a privilege to become a part of your life in making things better for you. Here are some of the questions we might ask:

  • What did you like to do before you had your issues?
  • How did you walk?
  • Did you walk fast or slow?
  • Near or far?
  • Did you sit most of the day or were you active?
  • Do you have the determination to be active again?
  • What movements cause you pain?
  • What are you not willing to give up?
  • What are your priorities in life?
  • What are your community activities?

These are the kinds of questions that will help us to create the type of prosthesis or orthosis custom designed for you and the way you live. You are unique so we will make something just for you.

Customized Fabrication

First and foremost, our fabrication labs are on-site. This means that we can and will address any issue you may have with the comfort or function of your prosthesis or orthosis quickly. We want to hear about it whenever you have a question or concern and promise to get back to you as fast as possible with a way to fix things, so they are right. If something isn’t right then we’ll need you to come in and see us!

Creating your prosthesis or orthosis is a hands-on job that requires skill and compassion. We are here to gather as much information from you as we can in order to craft a solution that will work for you the way you want it to. As we create your prosthesis or orthosis we are here for you to answer any questions or concerns you may have. We are happy to be on call to our patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

Educational Information

Each new amputee receives a new amputee packet from us. We believe the more information you have, the less scary the whole process will be. We want to help guide you through the emotions and fears of using a prosthesis by clearly illustrating and explaining the process step by step.

We can also connect you to local support groups and on-line resources. Just ask - we are here for you!

Feel free to call anyone of our offices, message us on the contact link on this site or call our Director of Patient Care, Mary, at 336-601-1882 at any time.
